Normand J. Racicot

Racicot, Normand J. (1968-2024) of Weymouth. On December 30, 2024, the world lost a very special man, father, son, brother, and friend to many. Despite his time being far too brief, Norm left his mark on the world which will never be forgotten.

Norm was raised in Marion, MA and attended Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth, MA. He met many of his lifelong friends at school and on the football field. He received his Bachelors' Degree from Bridgewater State University and worked his entire career at Fallon Ambulance Company starting as a chair car driver, to EMT, to dispatch, to Vice President of Operations.

Norm's love and support of the South Shore Arc originated when his daughter Elizabeth was at First Early Intervention in Weymouth, MA. He was on the South Shore Arc board for many years and also served as President. His generosity, kindness, and compassion towards individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities was profound.

Norm was an avid golfer and a proud member at Wollaston Golf Course for many years. He loved playing ice hockey on the South Coastal Men's Hockey League and the Hasbeen Hockey League.

His most favorite activity of all was spending time with his daughters, Maggie and Elizabeth. They loved taking long nature walks in Pond Meadow Park. He loved coaching Maggie in Weymouth Girls Basketball. Most of all, he loved spending time with his girls doing absolutely anything that they wanted him to.

Norm is survived by many that loved him. Son of Carol Ann Fallon of Milton and the late Ray Fallon. Father of Maggie Racicot and her partner, Nick Laverghetta of Morristown, NJ and the late Elizabeth Racicot. Brother of Peter Racicot and his wife, Linda, of Sandwich, Ray Fallon of Chestnut Hill, Maureen Yates of Whitman, Kathleen Mackie of Flagstaff, AZ, Timothy Fallon of Rockport and the late Paul Fallon. Former husband of Jean Donovan Racicot of Hingham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 1/6/2025 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Route 18 opposite South Shore Hospital). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 1/7/2025 at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Herren Wellness Recovery Center, 120 Jacob Street, Seekonk, MA 02771. Below is the link to make donations online: https://herrenproject.org/
