Norman Maciver Sr.

MacIver, Norman, Sr. of Middleboro, formerly of Hull May 19, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Doris J. (Burrill) MacIver. Devoted father of Norma A. Petersen of Acushnet, Darlene M. Evans of Whitman, William Henry MacIver of NY, Norman MacIver Jr. of Weymouth, Robert C. MacIver of FL, Donna L. Fortin of FL, Randolph C. MacIver II of PA, Michael P. MacIver of Hanson, Christopher A. MacIver of FL, and the late Randolph MacIver and Jeanne Yannizzi. Brother of Mary Cummings of NC. Also lovingly survived by 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Mr. MacIver was as a long distance truck driver for over 50 years working for F.B. Rich and Son United Van Lines, and Brady Enterprises before retiring in 2001. In his eariler years Norman enjoyed working on the ferry and tug boats in New York . He was a lifetime member of the Weymouth Eagles and VFW in Middleboro. He was a man who was dedicated to his work and family. Norman was a proud WWII Army Veteran. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Saturday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
