Oliva, Norma L. (Clapp) of Plymouth, formerly of South Weymouth, passed away peacefully, March 10, 2016.
Beloved wife of the late Charles N. Oliva. Loving mother of Joyce Murphy and her husband Gerald of S. Weymouth, Sharon DuBois and her husband George of Plymouth, John Oliva and his wife Jo-Ann of Weymouth, Norma Hartwell and her husband Bruce of Mashpee, Scott Oliva and his wife Debora O’Brien of E. Bridgewater and the late Charles Oliva. Cherished “Nonnie” of 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Norma is also survived by Linda Yanuskiewicz, of Plymouth, her longtime caregiver.
Norma was a beautiful, loving, kind and thoughtful person whose greatest pleasure was spending time at home with her family. She loved baking, painting, traveling and decorating for the holidays. Most of all she loved being a wife, a mother and a “nonnie”. Alzheimer’s may have taken her memories, but we will treasure them for her forever. Born on Valentine’s Day, she will always be remembered by her family as their “special Valentine”.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Service in Old South Union Church, Weymouth at 10:00AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norma’s memory to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cir. #326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
