Norma J. Collins

Norma J. (Gosselin) Collins of Abington, formerly of Weymouth, went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2017.

Norma was a longtime member of the South Shore Viking Association, where she served as membership secretary for many years. She was a skilled knitter and phenomenal cook, often praised for her chocolate chip cookies. In her early years she enjoyed bowling and was an avid Red Sox fan. Norma was happiest when her home was filled with those she loved or when she could be found on the sidelines cheering on her granddaughters’ dance performances and grandsons’ sporting events. As their number one fan she was often rewarded with game winning and home runs balls, all of which she treasured.

Beloved wife of 50 years to Charles F. Collins of Abington. Devoted mother of Charles F. Collins, Jr. and his wife Kim of Shrewsbury and Alyssa (Collins) Kelliher of Abington. Cherished Nana of Julia, Ben, Tatum and Chase. Loving sister in law of Judy Lyons of Virginia and the late Carolyn Colletti.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Service in Trinity Episcopal Church, Rockland at 10 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
