Norma G. Reilly-Barriere

Reilly-Barriere, Norma G. (Heussi) of Quincy, died December 7, 2016.

Norma was a lifelong resident of Quincy, graduating from North Quincy High School in 1950.  She worked as the Director of Quincy Community Action for many years before becoming a Supervisor for the National Fire Protection Association.  Norma was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish in Quincy and became very involved in the community.  She found passion in helping others and was a strong advocate for many interests that were close to her heart.  Norma’s light of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.   

Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Reilly and Emile L. Barriere.  Loving mother of Robert Reilly and his wife Eleanor of Needham, Steven Reilly and his wife Laureen of Quincy, David Reilly and his wife Andrea of Holbrook, Diane Barriere of Quincy, Nanci Reilly and her husband William Driscoll of Quincy and the late James Reilly and Richard Reilly.  Cherished Nonnie of 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  Devoted sister of Harold Heussi of Essex and late Rudolph Heussi, Jr.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends especially Katherine Simmons of Weymouth. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Norma may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, W. Bridgewater, MA 02379-1022 or The New England Organ Bank 60 1st Ave, Waltham, MA 02451. 

Norma’s family would like to thank the staff at Marina Bay Nursing Home in Quincy and the staff at Old Colony Hospice for their love and care given to Norma during this difficult time.
