Sheridan, Norma C. (Paine) of Squantum died September 10, 2008. Beloved wife of 56 years of Richard T. Sheridan of Squantum. Devoted mother of Richard T. Sheridan, Jr. of Arizona, Donna M. and her husband Louis Sipes of Tennessee, William F. Sheridan and his very close friend Alex Vainstein of Washington, D.C., Suzette A. and her husband Paul Cavanaugh of Plymouth, and Tricia K. and her husband Kirk Koylion of Plymouth. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Michelle, Kristen, William, Kimberly, Joseph, Robert, Shelby, Veronica, Caitlyn, Abby, Christian, and Caileigh and great-grandmother of Addison. Loving sister of the late Donald Paine. Dear friend of the late Rev. Charles McGahey. Norma is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Norma was a resident of Squantum for over 45 years. She worked for the Quincy District Court as a Supervisor of Domestic Violence, retiring in 1998. She also worked part time at the Wang Center for Performing Arts, which she loved. Norma was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of several prayer groups. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary at the Nickerson Post, and a past member of the Squantum Yacht Club. Norma was a head proctor for law school, police and fire exams. Norma enjoyed walking and exercising. She was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. Norma cherished being with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Saturday at 9:15 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norma Sheridan may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central NE Region, 18 Tremont Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02108.
