Noreen E. “Puddy” Murphy

Murphy, Noreen E. (Trainor) “Puddy” of Quincy, died March 21, 2018.

Noreen’s most cherished role was that of mother to Jaclyn and Erica Murphy, daughters she raised with former husband Kevin Murphy. The youngest child of the late John E. and Esther (Petrucci) Trainor, she was a loving sister to Jack, Frank, Ginny, Robert and the late Rosemarie, Mary “Missy” and Richard, and also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Noreen was a lifelong resident of Quincy, graduating from Fontbonne Academy and later with distinction from Laboure College of Nursing.  Noreen excelled in her work as a nurse and was passionate about helping others. Her personality lit up a room and endeared her to all she met. She was vibrant, vivacious and had a contagious laugh along with a kind and loving heart. “Puddy” will be sadly missed and always remembered.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
