Nora Kaulins Grant of Weymouth, aged 69, passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2022.
Nora grew up in Hyde Park and graduated from Boston State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While devoting her life to raising her daughters and building a home, Nora also worked as a medical transcriptionist and in customer service for many years before enjoying her retirement.
Nora had a kind heart, a beautiful soul, a great sense of humor, and a fierce intelligence. She was incredibly proud of her daughters and loved spending time with her family. You could often find Nora gardening, cooking, or crocheting. She also loved animals and adopted and adored many cats and dogs, including her cherished cat, Olivia. Everyone agrees that Nora threw the best parties and that she would always welcome you warmly into her home, no matter what the day or occasion. All who knew Nora will remember her as a selfless and loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Nora was the daughter of the late Karl and Lucija Kaulins. She is survived by her daughters Karen, Tina, and Kimberly as well as her brother Peter, his wife Maryann, and their children Amanda, Tori, and Gregory. Nora will be missed by many, especially the Grant and Jansons families and her many friends and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate Nora’s life on Sunday, August 14th – please reach out to the family for the details.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nora may be made to Scituate Animal Shelter (https://scituateanimalshelter.org/), a wonderful organization where she adopted loving companions from over the years, or to Meals on Wheels (https://www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org/), whose thoughtful and caring volunteers were an invaluable help to Nora and Kimberly
