Boulakes, Nicholas J., “Uncle Nick”, of Quincy, died on Sunday, October 10, 2010. Beloved son of the late Nicholas Boulakes and Helen (Buckley) Boulakes. Loving brother of the late Mary A. Lynch. Cherished uncle of Thomas Lynch and his wife Maureen of Arlington, Nicholas Lynch and his wife Barbara of Quincy, Lorne Lynch and his wife Patricia of Stoneham, Martin Lynch and his wife Catherine of Quincy, Helen Fraser and her husband Joseph of Middleboro and Mary Dever and her husband William of Virginia. Also survived by 19 grandnieces and grandnephews. Nick was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a ship fitter at the Charlestown Navy Yard for over 30 years retiring in 1982. A songwriter in country music circles, he was known as “Nick Cross.” He loved his role of being an uncle to his extended family, taking part in every celebration and always ready for the next adventure. Photography and fishing were some of his hobbies. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Friday, October 15, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in memory of Nicholas may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
