Nellie M. (Hyder) Quinn

Nellie M. (Hyder) Quinn of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2018.

Beloved wife of  Peter J. Quinn who just celebrated 50 years of marriage. Fate prevented them from celebrating with family and friends. She is the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Nora Hyder from Kfarhouna, Lebanon. Beloved sister of the late Edward J. Hyder and of her late brother who died at child birth. She is leaving behind a beloved niece Michele Hebert and her husband, Garry of Rockland, a beloved nephew, Michael Hyder and his wife, Jennifer, of Jericho, VT and many great nieces and nephews as well as in laws, Janice and Richard Pattison.

Nellie was a devout communicant of Saint Joseph’s Church in Quincy Point.  She had lived in Braintree for 30 years. She moved to S. Weymouth in 2008. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s School in Quincy and Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth. Nellie worked as an accountant for Verizon for 30 years. Immediately after her retirement her mother, Nora Hyder, had a stroke. As a very devoted daughter, Nellie took care of her mother for many years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
