Naomi C. Hopey

Hopey, Naomi C. (Baker) of Hingham October 26, 2005. Wife of the late John E. Hopey. Devoted mother of Pamela A. Cadigan of Hingham, John E. Hopey of Weymouth, Mark C. Hopey of Hingham, Robin J. Griffin of FL, and Amy C. Shea of Hull. Loving sister of Anna Mae Norton of Quincy. Cherished “Gram” of Ryan, Julie, Caitlin, Michael, Patrick, Alison, Jake, Colleen, Daniel, Dylan, and Erin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Naomi Hopey may be made to American Cancer Society, Boston 25 Stuart St., 4th Floor Boston, MA 02126. Prior to retired in 1995 from Johnson Motor Parts in Quincy, Naomi worked for over 40 years with her husband at their family owned business, Bridge Plywood in Weymouth. Naomi was devoted to her family and her friends. She cherished her grandchildren and always took pride in her home and her gardens. A member of the Catholic Woman’s Club, she was also a member of various Bridge Clubs in the neighborhood. Naomi was an avid Red Sox fan and was thrilled to see them win the World Series last year!
