Zona, Nancy (Giarraffa) of Quincy January 26, 2007. Wife of the late Anthony Zona. Loving Mother of Mary and her husband Dennis Dobbins of Whitman and Joan and her husband Stephen Pepin of Quincy. Sister of Caterina and Maria Giarraffa both of Sicily and the late Guy Giarraffa. Nancy is the devoted grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Nancy was born in Boston and was raised in Messina, Sicily . She moved back to Boston at the age of 29. Nancy worked as a stitcher for Mario Sports Gear for 27 years and she retired back in 1984. She also worked as a lunch mother at the Parker Elementary School in Quincy from 1986 until 1996. Nancy was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed gardening and walking. She was a talented seamtress and made everything from clothing to curtains. She love to dance and sing and frequently visited Revere for the ballroom dances years ago. Nancy was a devote catholic and a daily comminicant at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy. Nancy enjoyed bringing joy to many people.
