Nancy Mae Spargo

Spargo, Nancy Mae (Spargo) of Quincy, died December 15, 2015.

Nancy was a lifelong resident of Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School, where she was Vice President of her senior class, and attended Fisher Junior College. She was employed by the Gillette Company in Boston. Later she was a master transcriber of medical records when she worked out of her home office. Nancy was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Patriots and Red Sox games. She was an antique doll collector and animal lover, especially her cat. She was a very caring and generous person and supported every charity, particularly for animals. She sponsored several children through the Christian Children’s Fund and was a faithful member of St. Agatha’s Parish and regularly attended Mass.  She loved to frequent high end consignment shops and would proudly display her designer purchases bought for a fraction of the original price. Nancy, who was very generous, still knew how to pursue a bargain. She made sure to call her cousins who lived near and far to keep in touch with the members of the Spargo clan.

Daughter of the late Edgar and Katherine (Sheridan) Spargo. Sisiter of the late William Clark Spargo. Loving cousin of Esther Steffens of Newark, DE, Edward Gherardi of White River Junction, VT, Pennelope Warren of Marietta, OH, Lois Ostert of Middleboro, Janice Gherardi of Quincy, Mary Stripling of Reston, VA, Jean Spargo of Jamaica Plain, Katherine Pijewski of Milton, Gerald Gherardi of Pike, NH, and Anthony DeLucia of Cape Coral, FL.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
