Nancy M. Towle

Towle, Nancy M. (Fitzgerald) of Hingham, formerly of Weymouth, passed away on October 23, 2022. Nancy was born in Boston to the late Mary and George Fitzgerald. She grew up in Weymouth and was a graduate of Weymouth High School. Nancy happily worked for many years at EMD Serono Inc. as an Administrative Assistant where she was a much beloved employee. A four time cancer survivor, Nancy exhibited incredible grit and perseverance and continued to work during her treatments and enjoy her family. She was a true warrior for over twenty years. Cancer did not take her life.

Family was the absolute center of Nancy’s universe. A devoted grandmother, she treasured the time she spent with each of her grandchildren. She enjoyed family vacations and afternoons on the beach in Maine on Drake’s Island and special trips to Marco Island. She adored lobster rolls and Sam Adams beer, preferably together and in view of the ocean.

Loving mother of Donna Ramsay and her husband Chris of Bedford, NH and Michael Towle and his wife Lisa of Halfmoon, NY and precious late son Brian Towle. Cherished Nana to Abigail, Luke, Lindsay and Caroline. Sister of Joan Harding of Norwell and the late James Fitzgerald. Also survived by dear cousin Barabara Whelan of South Yarmouth, MA and dear friend Claire Galvin of Hingham and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

When you buy flowers, take in and marvel at their beauty as she loved to do. May she rest in peace.
