Nancy I. Sullivan

Sullivan, Nancy I. (Lancellotti) of Quincy, died July 3, 2017.

Music and songs were a big part of Nancy’s life. She was a member of the Glee Club in high school and the St. Ann’s theater group in Dorchester. She was the lead singer of the wedding band the Guildsman and a professional singer at many night clubs around Boston in the 70s. She frequently performed at Duttons of Quincy and Hugo’s Lighthouse of Cohasset. Nancy was a retired supervisor for the Parking and Transportation Department at UMass Boston and was a Union Rep. for many years. She was proud to be a “surrogate mom” to student employees from all over the world (such as Greece, Bangladesh, Colombia, and the Philippines). She called her office “The League of Nations” and hosted many gatherings for her students. Nancy was extremely creative. She enjoyed singing and dancing, arts and crafts, making costumes for a variety of events, playing second base for softball in Houghs Neck, and spending as much time as possible at the beach. She was well known for her Italian cooking, especially meatballs and braciole. Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Daughter of the late Florena Hagan and her husband Robert of Burlington and the late Anthony Lancellotti. Loving mother of Michael Joseph Sullivan, Lisa Marie Sullivan, and Nanci Ann Sullivan, all of Houghs Neck. Grandmother of Donovan Patrick Sullivan of Quincy. Dear sister of Carol McGrath of CA, Joan Betcher of NH, Sally Petreyko of RI, and the late Leo Lancellotti. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the wake visiting hours 3-5:30 PM, Sunday July 16th at Keohane Funeral Home in Quincy; with Funeral Service immediately following at 5:30 PM, also at Keohane.

There will be no cemetery ceremonial.
