Dawes, Nancy E. (Garrity) of Weymouth formerly of Groton, died on July 8, 2012. Wife of the late David C. Dawes, Sr. Mother of Suzanne Marie Dawes of CA , William D. Dawes and his wife Melissa of Groton and the late David C. Dawes, Jr. Cherished Grammy of Madison and Julie Dawes of Groton. Beloved daughter of Alice Keegan of Weymouth and the late Paul J. Garrity. Sister of Hank Wiltshire and Sandy of Plymouth, Peter Wiltshire and his wife Sally of Lancaster, PA, Beverly Convery and her husband Tom of Medford, Dottie Neeley and her husband Jerry of MI, Michele “MIckey” Cusack and her husband Joe of Osterville, Candy Kennedy and her husband Tom of Weymouth, Beth Marcella and her husband John of Hingham and the late William & Karen Garrity. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nancy worked for 25 years at Groton School as the business manager. In years past she volunteered with the Girls Scouts and coached softball. She enjoyed gardening and loved to spend time at her camp in Goffstown, New Hampshire. The foundation of Nancy’s life was her family, especially her granddaughters, she cherished them. Although she was taken away from her family too soon, they are all very grateful for the blessings that she brought into their lives. Nancy will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30am prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 12:30 PM. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
