Nancy E. Altieri

Nancy E. Altieri of South Weymouth, passed gracefully in the company of her family on March 13, 2018 at the age of 81.

Nancy was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside and was known by all as a very classy and generous lady while always thinking of others first. She worked at Colgate Palmolive where she met her husband in 1952. As a young girl she worked for several florists developing a talent for floral design which led her to open her own flower shop called the Flower Cart in Mendham, NJ, where because of her personality her customers grew to be her friends. She later worked for a college financial aid firm as a counselor where she traveled the U.S. assisting young students in obtaining financial aid to fulfill their dreams. Nancy was admired for her sense of fashion and style. She was an accomplished clothes maker, winning a statewide Women’s Club sewing contest in Atlantic City, NJ. She had an innate passion for gardening and found great joy in sharing her perennials with friends and neighbors. Nancy and her husband, Lou, relocated from NJ to MA for the love of family and helped raise their grandchildren. They became their grandchildren’s biggest fans, attending their every game and event.

She was the beloved wife of 64 years to Louis Altieri. Loving mother of Lisa Miller and her husband Chris of South Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of Amanda Miller and Ryan Miller.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, March 22nd from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Friday, March 23rd prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM.
