Muriel L. Mckay

McKay, Muriel L. of Quincy, passed away August 26, 2011. Beloved wife of John “Mickey” McKay of Quincy. Loving mother of Russell Christopher of Dorchester, Corinne Kiley of Quincy, Joe Christopher of Woburn, Denise Crowley of Weymouth, and Stephen Christopher of NH. Loving stepmother of Christopher McKay of Norwell and Melissa Fagan of Bridgewater. Sister of Bill and Erison Bell; both of Canada and the late Mac and Earl Bell. Grandmother of the late Denise Murphy. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, many nieces, nephews and close friends. Muriel was born in P.E.I. Canada and lived for over forty years in Quincy. She worked for many years as a Home Health Aid for various nursing agencies. Her family was the center of her life and she enjoyed spending time with them, especially the grandchildren. She loved to travel and returned to Canada most years for family visits. Muriel was an active member of the Quincy Emblem Club. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, generosity and her loving and caring nature. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
