Lydon, Miriam C. (Cox) age 77, of Hingham, October 19, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Daniel T. Lydon. Loving sister of Virginia M. (Hogan) Shruhan of Wareham. Daughter of the late Eva A. and Michael J. Cox. Devoted Aunt of Thomas, Kathleen, John, Mark, Patricia, Michelle, Donna, Timothy and the late Brian and Kevin. Miriam is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Miriam was born in Boston and raised in South Boston. Miriam lived in Hingham for the past 51 years. She was a graduate of Archbishop Cushing High School. Miriam worked at the Quincy Court House for 18 years before retiring in 2000. Miriam devoted much of her time to the blind. She became her husband’s eyes after he lost his sight to Diabetes. She is remembered by her family as being a caring and generous woman who loved her family deeply. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday, October 25, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Miriam may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St. Boston, MA 02210.
