Millie Hernandez

Hernandez, Millie (Ortega) of Quincy, died October 8, 2024. 

Millie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was artsy and enjoyed refinishing furniture and knitting. She had a passion for learning and was offered scholarships with how intelligent she was, studying agriculture, psychology, law, and to become a chef at Le Cordon Bleu. She loved to laugh and have fun. Above all, Millie was a kind and nurturing soul who accepted everyone and gave them a safe space. She was strong willed and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Beloved wife of Richard S. Bennett, Jr. of Quincy. Cherished mother of Laura Farias and her husband Deived of Quincy, Ariel Hernandez and his spouse Sam Morente of Quincy, Gabriel Bennett of Sharon, honorary son Hector Garcia, and the late Andrew Hernandez. Loving sister of Amor Lopez, Ana Torres, Vicky Medina Israel Hernandez, and the late Luis Ortega. Devoted grandmother of Dominic and Anthony Farias. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited greet the family during the visitation on Saturday, October 26 from 1-5 PM at Grace Church, 14 Storrs Ave. in Braintree.
