Mildred T. Costa

Mildred T. Costa of Weymouth, 85, passed away on September 10 2015. Mildred was born in Dorchester, MA, and a 60 year resident of Weymouth. She met her husband Joseph, of 58 years, while working at Keystone. She was an accomplished artist and loved to cook. An avid traveler, she loved the ocean and enjoyed vacationing in Maine. She was a long time senior center volunteer and enjoyed playing Bingo. The cornerstone of Mildred’s life was spending time with her family. 

Mildred was the daughter of the late Thomas O’ Connor and the late Mildred (Gerstel) O’Connor. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Costa. Loving mother to Jeanne Southworth and her husband Ken of Plymouth, and John Costa and his wife Carol of Kingston. Cherished grandmother to Kevin Southworth, Kate Folsom and her husband David, Brian Southworth, Pamela Shanahan and her husband Brian, Joseph Costa, and Nick Costa. Dearest great-grandmother to Austin, Averie, Andrew and Cameron. Dear sister of Patricia Jackman, Dorothy Tracy, Walter O’ Connor and the late Lorraine Savoie-Lynch. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to: Hospice of the South Shore, 55 Fogg Rd. Weymouth, MA 02190.
