Mildred S. “Milly” Cosby

Mildred S. Cosby (Matulaitis) of Quincy and Rockland, passed away peacefully March 19, 2023. She was 89 years old.

Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late John and Albina Matulaitis. Milly graduated from Boston Trade High School for Girls in 1953 and went on to work for the John Hancock Company as an office assistant.  She also worked part-time as a hair stylist. She met her husband Frank at a dance while he was serving in the United States Navy.  After dating for a short time Mildred and Frank were married and celebrated almost 59 years together. Mildred worked part time in the Quincy school system while raising her family, and later held the position of office manager at B & B Service and Supply Company for over 30 years. Milly was a lover of animals and cherished her family. She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Loving wife of the late Frank Cosby. Beloved mother of Brian Cosby and his wife Nancie of East Bridgewater and Robert Cosby and his wife Stacey of Plymouth. Cherished Grandmother of Jessica and her husband John Farcas of Middleboro, the late Matthew Cosby of Plymouth; James Cosby and his wife Britney of Hanson, Adam Cosby and his fiance` Navya Clement of Hingham. Adoring Great Grandmother of Lia and Jameson. Milly joins her siblings in heaven; Albina Inglls, Gerry Petrillo  and Victor Bartash.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mildred may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
