Mildred M. ‘Millie’ Jones

Jones, Mildred M. ‘Millie’of Quincy, age 85, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday April 15, 2012. Former wife of the late Frederick J. Jones, Sr. Beloved mother of Robin A. Cushman of Halifax, Karen Jones Delgrasso of Wareham, Frederick J. Jones of Sharon, Chet A. Jones of Provincetown and Theresa E. Jones of Sharon. Also survived by four grandsons. She was a graduate of the State Teachers College in Boston and taught art and music in the Boston Public Schools for more than 20 years. Millie completed graduate coursework at Massachusetts College of Art and The New England Conservatory of Music and was an active volunteer at several religious nonprofit and health related organizations. She enjoyed the arts and was fond of sketching, painting, and playing the piano. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston
