Mildred F. Bowler (Bagnell) of North Weymouth, passed away very peacefully at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham on May 22, 2018 at the age of 91.
Wife of the late Forrest O Bowler, Mother of Sandra Faist and her husband Frank of Medway, Susan Soumah of Hanover, Jane Bowler of North Weymouth and the late Peter Bowler. Grandmother of David Faist and his wife Debbie, Andrew Faist and his wife Elizabeth, Amanda Cavaliere and her husband Eric, Adrienne Freeman and her husband Kevin, Graham Allen and his wife Kristen, also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Mildred achieved the ultimate as she left behind a legacy of love. She was a compassionate, courageous woman She worked as a tack welder at the Hingham Shipyard where she met her husband Forrest. They wed and put down their roots in North Weymouth where she become a mother of four. Her greatest joys were her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was devoted to them from all accounts.She was a lover of life and led a very active life full of family and friends.
She believed strongly in giving back and she demonstrated this well with her devotion to her charities and support to children that were in need, as well as her own community when it came calling. To sum it up in her own words, “The world needs more love”.
The family would like to celebrate her life and invite friends and relatives to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, May 31, from 4-7 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home in NORTH WEYMOUTH, 40 Sea Street.
A Funeral service will be offered on Friday, June 1, at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 172 Main Street, Hingham at 10AM. Burial will follow in the Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Pat Roche Hospice Home, NVNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061 or to American Glaucoma Society, 655 Beach Street, San Francisco, CA 94109
