Miguel E. Rodrigues

Miguel “Miguelito” Eduardo Rodrigues, 34, of Canton was taken from his family and many friends in a tragic car accident on April 8.

Miguel was born and spent his early childhood in Brighton before his family moved to Milton when he was in first grade. He had been living in Canton for the past three years. He graduated from Milton High School in 2006 and had studied Business Administration at Keiser University.

Miguel is survived by his mother, Argentina Rodrigues from the Dominican Republic, and his father Miguel B. Rodrigues from Cabo Verde. Miguelito was truly their precious son. He was his mother’s heart, and a spitting image of his father.

He is also survived by his older sister, Christina, with whom he was extremely close. Miguel adored his sister, and was very protective of her.

Additionally, Miguel is survived by a large extended family on both sides. They were the anchors of his life, and his cousins were among his closest friends.

Miguel was active in the family’s eyebrow threading business, The Threading Spa, and had a passion for overseeing the family’s real estate investments in Massachusetts and Florida.

Miguel was built like a linebacker, and knew and loved the streets of Boston. He was also a sensitive person who was always there for his parents, sister, and loved ones. He would be the first one you’d call, knowing he would never hesitate to do whatever was needed. His infectious laugh and sense of humor would fill the room anywhere he went.

Miguel had a love for music, cars, and especially motorcycles. He would attend motorcycle meet-ups throughout various states. He found tranquility in the sunshine and calming blue waters of Florida’s East Coast beaches. He loved Florida, and made sure to let everyone know he would eventually settle there permanently.

Visitation will be at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, on Sunday,  April 16, from noon to 6 p.m. All are welcome.
