Michele “Shellie” Boyd

Michele “Shellie” (Danner) Boyd, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2021 surrounded by the love of her family.

Originally from Weymouth, she created her family home with her beloved husband of 46 years, Stephen Boyd in Plymouth. After working as a teacher’s aide in Duxbury for 28 years, she kept herself busy during retirement by spending time with her family and friends, crafting, sewing, gardening, traveling and entertaining those near and dear to her at her dream home known lovingly as “Bea’s Pond”. Always the quintessential caretaker, she will be remembered for her selflessness, kind heart and nurturing way.

Forever a devoted mother to Shawn Boyd and his wife Lauren of Plymouth and Missy Dorsey and her husband Liam of Plymouth. Known as “Bea” to her pride and joy, her grandchildren Mya, Karrigan, Emerson, Shelby and Maevry. Loving sister of Scott Danner of Weymouth, John Danner of Plymouth and the late Suzette Mason. Sister-in-law of Susan McCarthy of Southboro and the late Larry Boyd. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Please join us in celebrating the beautiful life that she lived. Visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 12 PM Saturday prior to the Funeral Service in Old South Union Church, Weymouth at 1 PM.
