Michele S. Hannon

Hannon, Michele S. (Candura) of Harwich, 60, passed away suddenly and peacefully in her sleep on January 3, 2023. Michele was born in Boston to Dorothy (Hall) Candura of Florida and Harwich and the late Charles Candura Sr. She attended Braintree High School, Class of 1981.

Beloved wife of 34 years to Jay M. Hannon of Harwich. Loving mother of Brittany Thibert and her husband Sean of Harwich, Cassie Corcoran and her husband Kyle of Charlotte, NC and Charlie Hannon and his girlfriend Angelique Gray of Harwich. Proud and cherished Nana to Maeve Thibert. Dear sister of Jeannie Lee of Eastham, Dina Johnson of Norwell and the late Vincent and Charlie Candura. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

To know Michele was to know how much she loved her family. Her thoughtfulness, kindness and indescribable warmth lives on within her family, her living legacy. Michele was a beautiful soul that was taken from this world too early. It is said that if you die on your birthday, you have completed your god given mission here on earth. Michele would tell you that her purpose in life was to mother. Her husband, her children, their friends and even her friends – she mothered everyone. She always had a snack in her bag, the perfect piece of advice and a warm set of arms to hug you so tight. Michele left this world proud and content with how successful her children had become and how much love surrounded them.

To honor Michele is to talk of her often, cherish her memory and to always be kind to one another.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours 9am-12pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 12pm prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assissi Church, Braintree at 1pm .
