CONNOLLY, Michael T. “Tommy” 64, of Quincy, and formerly of South Boston, suddenly Monday, June 18, 2018.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Michael J., and Helen (Curran) Connolly. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Ellen (Antonova) Connolly. Devoted father of Mike Connolly of Quincy, and Brian Connolly of Boston. Brother of Jimmy Conley of Weymouth, Peggy Canavan of Raynham, Elaine Donnelly of South Boston, Annie Quigg of California, and the late Judy Smeltz, Kathy Morrison, and Jackie and Eileen Connolly. Uncle of Joanne, Kathy, Jimmy, Rob, P.J., Karen, Sherry, Michelle, Peggy Ann, Marty, Keri, Jimmy, Tobi, Russell, Brian, Kelly, Michelle, and the late Tommy.
Mike was a 1972 graduate of South Boston High School, and upon graduation, entered the United States Navy with his best, life-long friend Bobby Allen. He later earned his Associate’s Degree in Aviation Mechanics from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Mike had worked for many years as a mechanic for the MBTA in Jamaica Plain. An avid golfer, Mike was a member of the President’s Golf Club. He enjoyed walking and being outdoors; his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday June 22, from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Family and friends will gather in the funeral home beginning at 8:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 9 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
