Hajjar, Michael S. of Quincy, died November 4, 2017.
Michael was born in Quincy, Massachusetts. He attended the Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph and graduated in 1967. For high school, he attended St. Mary’s School for the Deaf in Buffalo, New York and graduated in 1971. He worked in the original family business and later became the manager of its South Shore Army Navy division. He later joined the family at Hajjar’s Big and Tall Clothing Company and worked in the Quincy location in both the warehouse and office.
He leaves his wife Asma Hajjar (Zeidan), a sister Louise and her husband David Densmore of Braintree, a sister Susan Hajjar of Hingham and a brother Steven Hajjar and his wife Jeannie of Cohasset and a sister Marianne Hajjar of Quincy. He also leaves six nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Quincy Deaf Club for many years and was an avid and devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox; he also followed the Boston Bruins, the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. Michael had a keen interest in world geography memorizing many facts and figures with ease and devoured the Guinness World Record Books. He traveled cross country with Deaf friends and enjoyed going to Foxwoods with his wife. Michael had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
