Michael Paul Cardoza

Michael Paul Cardoza, age 64, died peacefully at home after a long and courageous fight with multiple illnesses on May 17. Born in New Bedford, he had lived in Hingham, MA for 30 years. Michael graduated from Berklee College of Music and also had a music degree from the University of Masssachusetts and an Associate’s degree in Engineering from Massasoit College. He was an employee of the Entergy Corp. in Plymouth. Michael started playing the accordian at age 5 and music was a lifelong love. He played keyboard professionally with many groups, most notably with his wife of thirty years and was the Boston Bruins organist for three seasons. He also composed multiple musicals. Michael is survived by his wife, Carmen (aka vocalist, Nancy Carr) a sister, Barbara Savage of California, a stepdaughter, Amanda Pascarella of Hanover, a stepson, Christopher Capezuto of California and a nephew, John Cermak of California. He is also survived by his beloved toy poodles, Nala and Yvette and many wonderful friends. Friends and relatives are invited to gather for a memorial service Saturday, May 29th at 10AM at The South Shore Country Club, 274 South St. Hingham, MA (See Map Below). This will be followed by a luncheon. Interment of Michael’s ashes will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Michael’s name may be made to the Standish Humane Society, PO BOX 634 Duxbury, MA 02331 or Salvation Army.
