Michael J. O'Connell

Mr. Michael J. O’Connell, of Rockland, passed away suddenly on December 31, 2024. He was 43.

Son of John K. O’Connell and the late Susan O’Connell.

Brother of Kevin O’Connell of Rockland and the late Sean O’Connell. 

Uncle to Sean O’Connell.

Mike was once an all star baseball pitcher and an avid basketball player. He was also the Captain of his high school football team. He went on to play in the Shriner’s Bowl and play offensive line at Bentley College for four years where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Managemant. Michael worked for many years as a Senior Hedge Fund Accountant. He was a big man with a big heart especially when playing with his nephew. 

He will be truly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 18th at 10:30 am in Saint Bridget’s Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington.
