Burke-Lally, Michael “Mikey” J. of Hull and Quincy died suddenly July 4, 2009. Beloved son of Lt. Michael S. Lally of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department of Quincy and Margret-Mary (Burke)Carney and her husband Brian of Hull. Cherished grandson of Joseph and Elaine Lally of Braintree, AnnMarie and Michael Hurley of Hull and James Burke and Elaine Hartnett of Milton. Loving step brother of Alicia and Christopher Carney of Hull. Best Friend and cousin to Colin McCarthy of Weymouth. Also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mikey was born in Boston and was a resident of Hull and Quincy. He was a 2007 graduate of Braintree High School. Michael was currently an active service member in the United States Navy. He was a navigator on the bridge of the USS Kidd. Prior to joining the Navy he worked for his aunt’s restaurant, Kristin’s Breakfast in Braintree. He was a member of the L Street Running Club. He was an avid boater who received his boater’s license before his driver’s license. He enjoyed snowboarding, cars, driving, golfing and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Thursday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
