Michael J. Martin

Michael J. Martin passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024. 

He was born on April 19, 1951, to Edward and Mildred (LeHane) Martin of Quincy, MA. He attended Quincy schools and received a Bachelor of Education from UMASS Amherst. Michael taught for many years and then worked for Republic Plumbing Supply Co. in Norwood, MA until his retirement.

Michael will be remembered for his warm personality, humor and love of golf.

Michael is survived by his wife of forty years, Janet Martin (O’Connell), his brothers: Ed (Lynda), Peter (Linda), Paul (Kate), and Jim (Roberta), 11 nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, 12/19/2024 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy on Friday, 12/20/2024 at 9 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
