Michael J. Spirito

Spirito, Michael J. of Hingham, age 58, passed away by accident on July 16, 2011. Beloved father of Nicholas M. Spirito and Lisa O. Spirito, both of Cohasset. Former husband of Vicki Watkins of Cohasset. Loving brother of Bob Spirito and his wife Janet of Hingham. Uncle of Andrew and Anthony Spirito. Michael was a character with a wonderful sense of humor whose presence would be known in any room he entered. He was most proud of his children Nick and Lisa, and supported all of their ambitions and dreams. He was a longtime member and past president of the Cohasset Rotary Club and volunteered for many of their charitable activities. His passion was the water and he enjoyed many wonderful days with family and friends on his boat. Michael was a contractor with his family’s business, C. Spirito, Inc., and a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed attending many of the local professional sporting events. Michael had a gentle nature, was well liked and had a very simple philosophy of life. He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
