Michael J. “Sonny” Binkewicz

Mr. Michael J.“Sonny” “ Binky” Binkewicz, of Weymouth, formerly of Norwood, passed away suddenly on May 30, 2021.

Mike worked for many years for Cofsky Express Trucking as a long haul driver before starting a 30 year career with the Town of Sharon Department of Public works as a truck driver and laborer. When living in Norwood, he was very involved within the Norwood sports community.

His yard in Weymouth was always spotless and meticulous as well as his beautiful rose gardens. He enjoyed spending mornings with “the guys” at Nikos for morning coffee and then everyday around 2 pm he would head to the boat docks at Wessagusset to assist with the chores. Mike loved living in Weymouth and enjoyed all the children in the neighborhood, many he knew by names and sometimes he could be found attending the sporting events for them. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him. Michael proudly served his country during the Vietnam war with the U.S. Air Force. Son of the late Michael and Maxine Binkewicz.

Beloved husband of Florence Whiteley-Binkewicz of Weymouth.

Loving father of Caren L. Kosmach of Las Vegas, NV. Son of Michael and Maxine Binkewicz, of Norwood. Brother of  Karen O’Neil and her husband, James, of Norwood. Cherished grandfather of Kyle Kosmach of Las Vegas, NV. Uncle Sonny to Heather Davidian and her husband, Joe, of Billerica, and Katelyn O’Neil, of Foxboro. Great Uncle Sonny to Emma and Kayla Davidian.
