Smith, Michael J., Sr. of Quincy November 30, 2006. Devoted husband of Victoria (Sawyer) Smith of Quincy. Beloved father of Brooke and her husband Paul McKeen of Quincy, and Michael J. Smith, Jr. and his wife Donna of Quincy. Son of the late John E.Smith and Elizabeth (McDermott) Smith Themmen. Loving brother of Robert Smith, Carol Themmen, Anne Themmen, Richard Themmen all of Quincy, and the late Patrick Smith. Cherished grandfather of Paul McKeen, Adam McKeen, and Andrew Smith all of Quincy. Also survived by several nieces. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in Bethany Congregational Church, 18 Spear St. Quincy Monday at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Sunday 2 – 6 PM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael J. Smith, Sr. may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 55584, Boston, MA 02205-5584. Mike was a life long resident of Quincy graduating from No. Quincy High School. He served in the U. S. Navy for 2 years in 1965-1967. He was a HVAC Building Engineer/Manager for Trammell Crowe of Boston for 10 years. He has been employed in the plumbing and HVAC business for over 30 years. Mike enjoyed boating, motorcycles, and camping. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
