Michael F. Powers

Powers, Michael F. of Hull, died on Saturday, July 24, 2010 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma, he was 53. The beloved husband of 31 years to Karen (Carlson) Powers. Devoted father of Matthew Powers and his girlfriend Sarah Alves of Washington, DC and Joseph Powers of Hull. Son of the late Robert & Frances Powers. Brother of Robert Powers and his wife, Marylou of Plymouth, Ann Campbell, and her husband, Alan of VT, Patricia Arthur and her husband, Jack of NH, Daniel Powers and his wife, Erin of Brewster and Diane King and her husband, Tom of Duxbury . Uncle of Chris, Kellie, Jennifer, Mike, Robbie, Steven, Tommy, Danny, Alex, Tara, Quaid, Jacobi, Jennifer and the late Allison. Brother in law of Kathy Haake and her husband, Joe, and David Carlson of Missouri. Michael was a lifelong resident of Hull and was a dedicated coach in many youth sports, including baseball, football and basketball. He worked as a trucker driver for Pepsi-Cola and Airgas for many years. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a wonderful father, a cherished brother and a dedicated friend. He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humor and an all around great guy. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday, 4-8pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Thursday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church at 10 AM. Cremation to follow.
