Michael F. Gray

Gray, Michael Fleming. Michael Fleming Gray, 68, of Quincy died on February 3 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital surrounded by his devoted family. He was the son of the late Joseph and Rita (Fleming) Gray of Providence. Husband to and greatest champion of his beloved wife of 37 years Susan Murray Gray of Quincy. Loving father of and true friend to sons Jonathan Gray of Quincy and Alexander and Lauren (Pandolfe) Gray of Jamaica Plain. Also brother to Joseph and Marie (Long) Gray of Maine and Mary Ellen and the late Thomas Coleman of Rhode Island. Survived by many relatives and friends.

Until his last days, Michael was a student of life and enjoyed traveling with his wife Susan, the daily New York Times crossword puzzle, his weekly New Yorker magazine, weekly viewings of Washington Week, attending The Boston Symphony Orchestra, and studying the works of Frank Lloyd Wright. He had a genuine interest in all he met and made a daily practice of displaying small acts of kindness. Michael worked for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority for more than 25 years and taught for over 20 years at Stonehill and Framingham State.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
