Michael C. Monk

Michael C. Monk of Hingham, formerly a longtime resident of Jamaica Plain, passed away June 30, 2018.

Mike was born in Boston to the late Carl and H. Josephine Monk. He attended Jamaica Plain High School, Wentworth and Lowell Tech. He was a member of The IBEW and worked for many years as an Electrical Inspector in Boston.

Beloved husband of 41 years to Suzanne L. (Gowing) Monk of Hingham, Loving father of Barbara Monk of Stoughton, the late Edward Monk, Suzanne Dwyer and her late husband Kevin of South Boston and Kim Darling and her husband Don of Middleboro. Cherished Grampy of Francis Dwyer, Declan Dwyer and Alex Monk. Dear brother of Robert Monk, Donna (Monk) Boyd, Richard Monks, the late Nancy (Monk) Weihrauch, Patricia Monk, Linda (Monk) Hunt and Michael T. Monk all of Minnesota. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in McDonald KeohaneFuneral Home, followed by a burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
