Michael C. Cardillo

Cardillo, Michael C. of Quincy, died January 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband of 61 years of Clara D. (Giordano).  Loving father of Christine A. Ambrose and her husband, Joseph, of Quincy, Michael R. Cardillo and his wife, Karen, of Canton, Ann C. Philbrook and her husband, Carl, of Randolph, Patricia D. Thornton and her husband, Paul, of Randolph, Diane C. Coletta and her husband, PJ, of Weymouth, and Robert M. Cardillo and his wife, Cindy, of Dedham. Grandfather of Alex, Susana, Matthew, Paul J., Christina, and Nicholas.

Born in Boston, he had lived in Dorchester for many years before moving to Quincy about 40 years ago. Michael was a talented musician for many years playing the Bass. Until his retirement he was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. Michael was also a proud WW II veteran serving with the United States Navy.  He will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM.  Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.  Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Heating Fund, 227 Sea Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
