Meredith Drummond

Meredith L. (Poutree) Drummond of Marshfield originally of Quincy, died January 15, 2016. Daughter of the late Theodore R. and Dorothy L. (Randolph) Poutree. The beloved mother of Yvonne Drummond Richards and her husband David of North Quincy. Cherished grandmother of Mark L., Scott D. and Daniel T. Richards. Sister of John R. Poutree and his wife Lauralee of Brunswick, ME, Anne L. Mooney of Quincy, Jeanne M. Poutree Astino and her husband Joseph Astino of Cohasset and David A. Poutre and his wife Janet Poutre of Rising Sun, MD and the late Douglas R. Poutree.  Loving Aunt of  Francesca and Liliana Astino, Debora Baptiste, Darlene Haskell and Carolyn Macdonald. Norma Jean and Robert Poutree, John Mooney,  Alain, Emily and Jenna Poutre and several grand nieces and grand nephews.  Meredith is also survived by her aunt Mary T. Randolph Sheahan of Quincy and her cousins Randy Sheahan, Suzanne Johnson, Jeffrey Sheahan, Pamela Brennan, Susan Frey, Bradley Randolph and Robert Randolph. 

 

Meredith was born and raised in Quincy. She graduated from North Quincy High School Class of 1960. She worked as a Risk Manager for Howard Johnson Company and The Ground Round. She enjoyed traveling especially to Canada where she enjoyed visiting her summer home on Campobello Island. She was the family photographer and her camera was always with her.  She created many beautiful scrapbooks capturing family memories with the photos she took.  She loved canning and gifting her friends with her jams, jellies and relishes.  Meredith was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Chapter of The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS).  

 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, January 23, 2016  at the Keohane Funeral Home  785 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON from 1-3pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Meredith may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A 1st Ave., #6, Waltham, MA 02451.
