Melody Lebretton Bush

Melody LeBretton Bush of Hull, formerly of Hanover, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 15.  She was 65.

Melody was born in Waterville, ME to Burton R. LeBretton and Argentina (Dion) and raised in Merrimac. Melody lit up a room with her warmth, charm and gregarious manner.  A graduate of Pentucket Regional High School, Merrimac College and an MSW from Cambridge College Melody devoted her career to helping children and families in need.  She loved playing scrabble with her family and friends and experiencing life.  When she wasn’t doting on her son and his family she traveled the world, walked miles and read more books than can be found in a town library.

Beloved wife of the late John J. Bush, Jr. and the devoted mother of Matthew LeBretton and his wife Michelle of Hingham.  Proud grandmother of Samantha, Abigail and Jacob LeBretton.  Loving sister of Marie Levesque and her husband Victor and Deborah Parkhurst and her husband Gene.  Preceded in death by her siblings Muffin, Donna and Ernest, Meddie, and twins Alfred and Wilfred.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the wake on Thursday, 6/24 from 5-8 PM at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM. Funeral service will be on Friday at 10 AM at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home.
