Melio P. Cordaro

Cordaro, Melio P. age 92 of Hull ,January 14, 2003. The beloved husband of 64 years to Amy Leah (Pope) Cordaro. Loving father of Marie L. (Cordaro) and her husband Donald of Ormond Beach, FL and Peter A. Cordaro and his wife Bette of Dunstable. Devoted Grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Brother of Guerino Cordaro of Islington , MA , Yolanda Galvin of Hingham and Josephine Conway & Margarite O’Neil both of Hull. Mr. Cordaro is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church,Hull at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7- 9 PM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Mr. Melio P. Cordaro died at the age of 92 on January 14, 2003 after a long illness. Mel was the owner and operator of Mel’s shoe repair in Hull. He was born in Dorchester and moved to Hull at an early age. Mr, Cordaro learned to repair shoes working along side his father in his fathers shoe repair shop, before taking over the business. Mr. Cordaro was a master craftsman in his trade. He was a charter member of the Hull Rifle Club Assoc. and a charter member of the National Rifle Assoc. He was an avid Boston Red Sox’s fan as well. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Cordaro may be made to Hospice of Greater Lowell, 336 Central Street, Lowell, MA 01852.
