Maxine I. Hall, 83 years old, of Weymouth, at home surrounded by her loving family on March 25.
Devoted wife of 63 years of Jack Hall. Loving mother of Glenn Hall of Weymouth, Neil Hall of Weymouth, and Gail Tocchio and her husband Jeffery of Hingham. Cherished grandmother of Nick, John, and Mark Tocchio of Hingham. Beloved Sister of Velma Rago of Weymouth and the late Hugh Rago, and daughter of the late William and Daisy Rago.
Maxine was foremost a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a homemaker for most of her life. She dedicated her life to supporting and helping others. She was a member of the East Weymouth Congregational Church for 64 years, and was a founder of the Church Thrift Shop, that has “sold” clothes, toys and housewares to the East Weymouth Community for over 33 years.
Maxine graduated from Weymouth High, Class of 1949, and worked at Clapp Shoe and the Fore River Shipyard before starting her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her late friend Edna Gillespie, and her many friends throughout her life at church and especially her Endicott Street neighborhood.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation Monday from 4 – 8 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 3 Charles Street in East Weymouth. A service will be held at 10AM on Tuesday morning at the East Weymouth Congregational Church, 1320 Commercial St, East Weymouth. A burial will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in East Weymouth.
