Maurice J. Lacascia

LaCascia, Maurice J. of Quincy, died February 22, 2014.

Beloved husband of Paula (Scobie) LaCascia of Quincy.  Devoted father of Michael J. LaCascia and his wife Elizabeth of Needham, Maureen LaCascia-Ng  and her husband Kevin Quincy and  Joanne F. King and her husband Kerry of Norwood. Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Catherine  and Nicholas LaCascia, Ryan Ng and Michael King.  Brother of the late Katherine Jacobson.  Maurice is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Maurice was born in Boston and grew up in South Boston.  Maurice was a dedicated Boston Firefighter for 38 years before retiring as Lieutenant in 1998. He enjoyed getting together with the members of the Liars Club at Castle Island on a regular basis and trips to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. He was a member of the K of C North Quincy and St. Mary’s Seniors.  Maurice mastered computers later in life and truly enjoyed working on them.  Most of all Maurice loved his family, they were the cornerstone of his life.  He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy.
