Maureen R. “Mo” (Mcmanus) Beneway

Maureen R. “Mo” (McManus) Beneway, of Hull, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 66.

Maureen was a school bus driver (Bus A) in Hull and will be long remembered as “Mrs. B.” by hundreds of children. Maureen spent summers at “the cottage” in Wareham with many dear friends from the Agawam Lake Shore Drive neighborhood. Maureen will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and generosity.

Maureen was the loving wife of Almon Beneway of Hull.  She is survived by her son Almon Beneway and his wife Liz (Tempesta) of Pembroke, Christopher Beneway of Malden, Katie Barclay and her husband George of Hull, and James Beneway of Hull. Maureen was the proud grandmother (Memaw) of Nora, Amelia, Adalynn, Liam, and Audrey. Maureen was sister to Kathleen Patterson of Weymouth and joins her sisters Eileen Butler and Norine Presente in rest. Maureen leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, January 16, 2022, 2-4 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

Her funeral service will be celebrated on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 4 PM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham.

Interment in private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Maureen’s name to: Lahey Medical Center.
