Maureen P. Karstunen

Maureen P. (Gallagher) Karstunen of Whitman, died suddenly on June 18, 2017, two days after her 69th birthday. Maureen, affectionately known as Moe Ga, worked in many facets throughout her life. For 5 years she was a teacher for Boston Public Schools and went on to have a class ring business with her husband and work at Shaw’s, Learning Express and Blue Cross Blue Shields, until retirement. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed gardening and spoiling her granddaughter. Moe Ga was blessed with many friends. She will be dearly missed.

Beloved wife of the late Alan F. Karstunen. Devoted mother of Carrie-Ann Karstunen of Tilton, NH and Christina Bethune and her husband Arthur of Brockton. Daughter of the late James and Barbara Gallagher. Loving sister of James T. Gallagher and his wife Patricia of Clearwater, FL and Robert P. Gallagher and his wife Claudia of Weymouth. Cherished Nana of Aine Foley.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell.
