Maureen Heffernan

Maureen (Joyce) Heffernan, of Pepperell, formerly of Quincy, died March 4, 2021.

Beloved daughter of Thomas Joyce of Weymouth and the late Helene Joyce. Devoted mother of Katie Dean of OH and Kelly Heffernan of Stoughton. Loving sister of James Joyce of South Boston, Suzanne Joyce of Braintree, Brenda Joyce of Braintree, Patricia Donovan of Braintree and the late Thomas Joyce. Cherished aunt of Claudia and Joseph Donovan. Also survived by additional nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Maureen worked many years caring for adults with special needs. She was a loving and giving person, happiest when doting on others. She was a great cook and baker and loved ones could always count on receiving her treats. She will be deeply missed.

Services will be private.

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although we cannot gather together with Maureen’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the link above and sharing a special memory or message.
