Buzzell, Maureen D. (Donnellan) of Hingham, died on Monday, January 25, 2010 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Harold P. Buzzell, DMD. Cherished daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Coluci) Donnellan. Loving sister of the late Charles James Donnellan. Maureen is survived by her cousin David Crowley of TX and her brother in law Bill Adams of Quincy. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Maureen was born and raised in Medford and has been residing in Hingham for the last 40 years. She was a 1961 graduate of Boston College (School of Education). She worked as an office manager for her husband Harold’s dentist office on Hancock Street in Quincy for almost 40 years. She was a very active member of the Boston Cured Cancer Club for Laryngectomees since 2001, achieving the position of Vice President and then President 3 years ago. Taking great pride in volunteering at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, she became an inspiration to others with cancer of the larynx. Mrs. Buzzell also enjoyed travelling, bird watching and tending to her garden. Her family and friends describe her as a beautiful woman with a strong will and appreciation for life. She will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 7PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Thursday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church at 10 AM. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Maureen may be made to the Boston Cured Cancer Club for Laryngectomees, C/O Robert S.
