Maureen Cassidy

Maureen (Collins) Cassidy of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2018.

Maureen grew up in Hyde Park and has lived in Weymouth for many years. She worked as a CNA for South Shore Visiting Nurses Association for over 10 years and was dedicated to her patients. In her early years she enjoyed Irish step dancing and continued to listen to Irish music throughout her life. Maureen was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Beloved wife of James  A. Cassidy (retired Weymouth PD) of Weymouth. Devoted mother of Deborah Shea and her husband Brian of Weymouth, James A. Cassidy, Jr. and his wife Gina of Weymouth and Kerry Cassidy and her fiancé Theodore Ferry of Braintree. Cherished Nana of James III, Brennan, Ryan and Colin. Loving sister of Joan Dunn of Hingham and the late Patricia Monahan, John Collins and Sheila Canonico. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Maureen’s family is especially grateful for the care and compassion shown to her by the Cardigan staff in Scituate.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 11 AM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday, March 26th at 11 AM.
